Mission: To alleviate hunger by creating access to food.
Founded in 1984, FOOD for Lane County solicits, collects, rescues, grows, prepares and packages food for distribution through a network of more than 100 social service agencies and programs; through public awareness, education and community advocacy; and through programs designed to improve the ability of low-income individuals to maintain an adequate supply of wholesome, nutritious food.
Consulting Role (2006-2009): Wrote funding proposal that secured a $235,000 3-year capacity building grant, conducted a Development Assessment of existing fundraising efforts, supported leadership campaign targeting large individuals gifts, and coordinated development of 3 year Development Plan.
“I’ve worked with Bill on several projects since 2005 and highly recommend him as a development / fundraising consultant. Bill’s exceptional grant writing skills secured a multi-year six-figure capacity building grant for FOOD for Lane County (FFLC) and he also conducted a development assessment, coached us in a highly successful major gift campaign, and completed a multi-year development plan for FFLC. I have always found Bill to be highly professional, easy to work with, insightful, skilled, and flexible, and he has an optimistic approach to all things fundraising!.”
