Mission: Neighborhood House brings neighbors together to reduce hunger and homelessness, and to educate both young and old. We strengthen the community by providing the resources to support self-reliance, economic independence and dignity in people of all ages and backgrounds.
Across the community and across the life-span, Neighborhood House delivers innovative and life-changing programs for low-income people of all ages. Our highly-effective education and social support programs fall into the following core service areas: Early Childhood, School-aged Youth, Families in Need and Seniors. Its dedicated staff and volunteers work in schools, community centers and public housing sites, as well as our own facilities, to serve more than 18,000 people each year across the greater Portland area.
Consulting Role (2001-2011): Served as consultant and grantwriter to develop capacity building project and youth development program services.
“I have used Bill’s services many times with great results. His efforts secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant revenue that built our development capacity and launched a vital youth development initiative (SOL-Success. Opportunity. Leadership). I highly recommend him for your planning and grant writing needs.”
